Executive Team

 

FutureDial is led by a talented team of executives with an impressive track record of building new businesses, creating and strengthening partnerships, and finding creative ways to solve customer problems.

 

George C. Huang, Ph.D., Chairman and CEO

Dr. Huang has 30 years of experience in the high-tech sector. He founded GCH Systems, Inc., which later acquired Award Software (a BIOS software company) in 1993, and took it public in 1996 as its Chairman & CEO. Award Software merged with Phoenix Technologies in 1998, with Dr. Huang as Vice-Chairman. He now brings his extensive corporate management skills to bear in this latest venture with FutureDial. Dr. Huang received his Ph.D. and EE degree from the University of Washington.

 

 

Shu Gan, President

With more than 17 years of experience spanning business strategy and development, marketing and sales, product management, and engineering in the fast-changing wireless industry, Shu brings a rich background as President of FutureDial. Prior to joining FutureDial, Shu was VP of Marketing at Aicent, where he was instrumental in developing the company from an early start-up to an industry leader providing mobile data inter-operability solutions to more than 100 wireless carriers worldwide. Earlier in his career, Shu was a management consultant at PRTM where he led strategic planning, marketing and sales operations, and product management at telecom industry leaders such as Qualcomm, Pacific Bell (now AT&T), and AirTouch (now Verizon Wireless). Shu holds a BS/MS from Beijing University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Hass School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.

 

Steve Chan, CEO China & Senior VP of Technology Development

Steve has proven business development and engineering management skills in the software and semiconductor industries. His background includes careers at LSI Logic Corporation where he served as the Vice President of ASIC Design, at Chips and Technologies where he served as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Media Division, at AuraVision Corporation where he was a founder, and at Phoenix Technology where he served as Vice President of Engineering. Steve received his MSEE degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

 

 

Daniel Trangmar, VP of EMEA Sales

Daniel Trangmar has over 19 years of experience in the wireless sector in senior sales, marketing and management consulting positions. Prior to FutureDial Inc, serving as President Bytemobile SAS, Daniel lead the EMEA sales efforts of Bytemobile Inc, a leading provider of wireless data optimisation solutions. Before this, Daniel was a principal management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing sales leadership and account management for complex multiple-vendor systems integration projects. Daniel was previously with Ericsson Ltd with account management responsibility for Cellnet (now O2). Daniel started his professional career with Sema Group Telecom, initially designing and developing wireless operator software solutions and transitioning to lead the sales and marketing efforts of Sema Group Telecom. Daniel holds both a BSc and PhD in Engineering from Leeds University, UK.

 

Dennis McSweeney, VP of Sales, Americas

Dennis McSweeney brings more than 17 years of wireless experience with him to FutureDial.  He was most recently the Area Vice President for Sprint Nextel in Northern California and Nevada.  In this role, he had responsibility for all sales channels, leading over 800 employees and delivering more than $1 billion in revenue annually.  Dennis held a similar role with Nextel prior to the 2005 merger with Sprint.  Prior to Nextel, Dennis spent more than 10 years in progressively responsible roles in market operations for Globalstar USA, Verizon Wireless, AirTouch Cellular and Paging and PacTel Cellular.  He began his career as a consultant with Accenture.  Dennis has an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Business Administration and Economics from California State University, Sacramento.

 

Sanjiv G. Parikh, VP of Marketing

Sanjiv came to FutureDial with over 15 years of extensive experience in mobile media, applications and infrastructure markets. His experience spans several senior-level positions driving product marketing and management, corporate marketing and establishing key alliances in mobile applications and infrastructure segment. Prior to FutureDial, he founded and led Kanaga Networks, a provider of mobile media products and applications. Before that, he led global product management and marketing positions at Aicent and NetNumber. At Aicent, he led Global product management, responsible for providing mobile data inter-operability solutions to leading wireless carriers worldwide. Prior to that, he led the global product marketing group for ADC/Centigram, responsible for the $100+ million Unified Communications product line, serving over 5 million users across 200 carriers globally. Sanjiv holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Post-Graduate management courses from CSLA and UCLA. He also holds patents in wireless data and telephony.

 

Clarice Liao, Executive Director of Operations

Clarice brings to FutureDial over 10 years of PC and software experience in executive operations and management positions, working for Phoenix Technologies, Award Software, and GCH. Clarice earned her BS degree from Providence University in Taichung Taiwan.
