| ICSS 1.2.6 | this is installed from the 6 disk set from available from Sprint | |
| ICSS 1.2.9 | 1.2.9 upgrade is distibuted by Sprint. If you have not received 1.2.9 upgrade please contact our SAR | |
| After upgrading to ICSS 1.2.9.1 some users will experience a "dongle license cannot be found" error causing the ICSS to become non functional. To resolve this you have to remove ICSS 1.2.9.1 upgrade from add\remove programs. You also need to remove ICSS Retail. Once that is complete you need to delete the c:\program files\FutureDial\ICSS Retail folder. Now reboot the PC and reinstall ICSS 1.2.6 and the 1.2.9.1 upgrade on top of that. You will also need to download the phone update packages again. If you download the udpates from FutureDial support, they will uninstall the old version automtically and install the current version for you automatically. | ||

| when installing USB drivers for the first time, Windows will not always report a new device has been connected to the PC. When you run ICSS and get a -1, or -2 error code do the following: Open device manager on the PC. Look under modems, ports, other devices and USB Controllers. Most likely you will see devices with Yellow question marks. You need to right click on this device and choose update drivers. Go through the Found New Hardware Wizard to install the devices. | ||

| how to calibrate | the first thing you need to do in order for ICSS to work is calibrate the system. This is how you do it. Open ICSS, click on options and calibrate ports. I recommend changing the time out to 25 seconds.Change the number of ports from 5 to either 7 or 14 depending on how many hubs you have. Now locate the Sim Card reader, click the start button. Now connect the Sim card reader. You will either see a green check mark or a red X. If you continue to receive red X's you need to look at calibration consistantly fails issues above in this FAQ. | |
| note: ******** | You only need to calibrate the system once. Afterwards all your chanages will be in the Specify cables option. | |
| how to Specify Cables | ||
| Once you have calibrated the system successfully you will need to assign the cable ID's to a individual com port. | ||
| You can refernce the ICSS documentation for the default configuration set by FutureDial. | ||
| note: ******** | Be sure you don't confuse port ID 1 and 2 for USB. These are ALWAYS reserved for serial ports. You will ALWAYS start counting from port 3 on the hub. Many users get confused and put the configure the serail port into their configuration and it fails to work properly. | |
| note: ******** | Be sure when you are seting up your cables on the ports that you start at USB port #3. If you start at #1 your entire system will not function because the all the cables are connected to the wrong USB ports. | |
| How to get into Device Manager | Right click on My Computer and choose Manage. On the left window payne you will see device manager. | |
